I haven't had a Steak and Cheese in a while because I haven't found anyone that can make a good Steak and Cheese but this place surely changed my mind. Shem Adams is the founder of Philly's and is a true Philly native who has been mentored by Philadelphia's top cheesesteak restauranteurs. Also, he has two other locations that serves these top notch Steak and Cheeses. My daughter and I ordered the O.G. Steak and Cheese, Steak and Cheese Egg rolls, Fresh French Fries, Phried Philly Bread, and a drink called Gorilla Lemonade. The Steak and Cheese was fresh and very flavorful. The meat was delicious and tender. The Steak and Cheese Egg rolls were the bomb. They were very fresh, flavorful, and loaded with Steak and Provolone Cheese. What an amazing bite!! I'm really not a dessert fan but when I seen that the Phried Philly Bread was made with Philly Bread and coated with sugar and spices, Butterscotch Caramel, and hit with some Vanilla Ice Cream, I had to indulge. Oh boy, this dessert was decadent, creamy, an explosive in your mouth, oh so nice, and I was in love. What a great dessert you should not pass it up. The Gorilla Lemonade should be sold at every convenience store because the drinks are delicious from every flavor. The customer service was outstanding and staff were amazing. I love that the restaurant showcases black excellence from the past and present. There is undoubtedly no question I will be back in the building.

My sister and I made several trips over the years to drive to Philly just to grab a Philly cheese steak and chill, so we were excited to try this place out. The staff had good energy. We went to the counter to make our order at the register, grabbed some lemonades, and picked a table to sit down at. In edition to the philly cheese steak, we ordered their steak eggs rolls and buffalo chicken fries. All the food came to our table nice and hot. The rolls had a nice crisp and I like how it came with a dip. Also the chicken on buffalo fries probably could have been a bit crispier but it still tasted fresh and good. Of course we're still going to drive to Philly, but it's always great to have more options around home.

I love a good cheese steak! Philly's does a great job on the cheese steak egg rolls and on their cheese steak sandwiches. It just the right amount of steal to cheese to bread ratio. I enjoyed mine with grilled onions and mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. Wonderful! The staff are courteous and pleasant. They are there to answer questions and choose the right options for your appetite. Lovely staff, I will definitely come back. They sell Gorilla Lemonade! A local New Haven company with great flavors. I enjoyed the vibe, ambiance, and decor here. Overall a great experience!

I came with my girlfriend and her sister and brought her daughter along as well. I tagged along with them to this event. I tried the Philly cheese steak and Philly cheese steak egg rolls. I have tried several cheese steak before, and I am still trying to see who has the best. This place has some good rib eye cheese steaks. They came out hot and fresh. The Philly steak egg rolls had the crunchy outside. With the sweet side sauce. I also tried the Buffalo chicken fries. It was very tasty. I would come back again and taste more of the menu for sure. I won't say they're the best of the best, but that's all up to opinion. I had no complaints!

Wonderful check in event here! Thanks to the incredibly kind and patient staff there and Lanasha! The cheese steak was phenomenal - the flavors blended together perfectly (and I realized quickly why silverware was given to me! Lol! The kind cashier let me upgrade my fries to the chicken honey teriyaki fries which had the perfect amount of crisp and the sauces were Soooo tasty! I will definitely take friends back here to try additional items on their menu!

"Oh brother, are you gonna leave me wastin' away On the streets of Philadelphia?" (Bruce Springsteen) What a fun place to visit! The neat and clean restaurant's interior is a shrine to Philadelphia history with photos of Rocky Balboa, the Liberty Bell, the famous "Philly Special" Super Bowl play, Independence Hall, and plenty more. I loved checking out their menu with so many Philadelphia sports references in sandwiches named the Ivo (Alan Iverson), the Doctor (Julius Erving), the Stilt (Wilt Chamberlain) the Barkley (Charles Barkley), and the Broad Street Bully (memorializing the pugilistic Philadelphia Flyer team of the 1970's). After perusing that very cool menu, we ordered a Combo Meal ($15) which includes your choice of a 6" cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak, fries, and a drink, which you help yourself from their cooler. We went with a 16-ounce bottle of Diet Coke to counteract that cheesesteak! Other choices included more sodas, iced tea, lemonade and water. We went with the traditional cheesesteak, and it was brought over to our table just a few minutes after we ordered it. It was excellent -with plenty of super delicious, shredded ribeye, melted provolone and grilled onions on a soft fresh roll. The fries are worth mentioning because they were piping hot, crunchy and pretty outstanding! The two women behind the counter were friendly and welcoming -their service was as good as the food they whipped up. So, if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of the New Haven Town Green, you can't go wrong popping in for a very nice Philadelphia Cheesesteak Experience.
